Prom season is just around the corner, and it's the perfect time to start planning the perfect prom. One of the most popular and entertining additions to any prom night is a photo booth. Photo booths not only provide guests with a fun and interactive experience, but they also capture memories that will last a lifetime. If you're in charge of planning your school's prom, here are some of the best prom photo booth ideas that you should consider:

Light Painting Booth. Finding an experienced photographer that knows how to "light paint" will result in stunning, unique images. This technique requires long exposure and various light sources (sparklers, flashlights, light sabors, glow sticks, etc.) to create beautiful, artistic one-of-a-kind images.

"Light Painting" (or, Painting with Light) - Photographer, Jeanette Schenk from Portland, OR used a Luxceo light sabor (with a ring of tape to make the dramatic black stripe) to create these images.

Vintage Trailer Photo Booth. Vintage trailer photo booths are a unique and charming addition to any prom night. They provide a cozy and intimate space for guests to take photos and can accomodate up to 8 people comfortably. They can be used indoors (if space allows) or outdoors. Trailer booths offer a unique and fun experience that is different from the traditional photo booth.

The idea for this vintage trailer photobooth was that of a Portland photographer who wanted a change.

Hammie The Photo Booth is not your average photo booth... This 1960's trailer has a matching vintage tv/viewing monitor, DSLR camera, model ring flash (so you look pretty!), and a professional photo printer. Your "experience" includes awesome music (on a killer sound system) and, of course, the "voice of Hammie" to cue you for each photo. This premier photo booth is superb in every way.

Open-Air Photo Booth. Open-air photo booths are perfect for large group shots. They don't have an enclosure, which means that more people can fit into the frame. They're also great for outdoor proms as they can be set up just about anywhere.

This open-air photo booth, created by Shortcake Photography, includes freshly picked flowers, moss balls, various green ribbons, a neutral cloth backdrop, a repurposed accordian screen, LED firefly lights, and discarded and painted tree branches.

The Victorian Belle Mansion is a historical piece of Portland, Oregon. It's landscaping as well as it's interior furnishings are a step back in time and preserved beautifully. This venue is perfect for proms (and even weddings)!

Paparazzi Photo Booth. Paparazzi photo booths offer a fun and interactive experience between your guests and a professional photographer. The personalized touch of hiring a pro photographer can elevate the prom experience and create a more luxurious feel. Booths like these add some excitement and glamour to your school's prom. Your guests will leave feeling like celebrities.

Designed by a former teacher turned photographer... Black cloth backdrop, red tulle, white crushed stretch velvet cloth, and paper fans create a circus-like and mysterious masquerade feel.

When it comes to choosing the best prom photo booth, it's important to consider your budget, venue, and guest list. No matter what type of photo booth you choose, it's sure to be a hit with your guests and will provide them with memories that they will cherish for years to come.

"Neon Dance Party" - Shortcake Photography Only neon colored duct tape and a white fleece blanket to create this artistic backdrop. Props included colorful glasses, hats, and of course, hand-held props.
